Do Not Use Any Type of Lapping Compound or Valve Facing Equipment at Any Time.

This vale uses a hard thin coating on all wear surfaces that could be damaged or removed during these processes, rendering the part unusable.

Valve Seat Compatibility:

OE valve seats are detrimental to the life of titanium valves based on the hardness and thermal conductivity. We recommend using Xceldyne copper-allot seats.

Valve Guide Compatibility:

OE valve guides also have poor characteristics. The materials have poor thermal conductivity and hardness properties. We recommend using Xceldyne bronze-alloy

guides and honing the I.D to the following clearances

Intake valve-to-guide clearance .0005″-.0007″ / Exhaust valve-to-guides clearance .0010″-.0013″

Seat & Guide Alignment:

Correct seat to guide concentricity is critical for a proper valve-to-seat seal which promotes valve life considerably. we recommend a professional cylinder head

or engine specialist for installation of all these parts. The correct equipment and tolerances are critical to valve service life.

Valve Spring Compatibility:

The Proper seat and open pressure on the valve spring is crucial! failure to maintain the proper pressure thru the motion of the valve can cause valve float and undue

valve wear, possibly leading to failure. In most application the O.E spring is inadequate. we recommend replacing with a purpose-built spring designed for extended

Utilising the best equipment available and always striving to improve our range and knowledge in porting Cylinder heads, Rams Have Been in Business since 1972 and right from the onset we chose to be a specialist in performance cylinder head work, and rather than Specialise in just doing V8 heads we have been doing performance heads for all forms of motorsports, and all types of cylinder heads, pushrods Motors, Multi Valve Cylinder Heads, Motocross heads etc. etc. so from Drag Racers to speedway and circuit racers we do it all. we utilise our in house flow bench and design our valve seat cutting profiles to get the best overall flow from our ported heads.

PSI, the first racing-only valve spring manufacturer in the U.S., has continually grown to offer multiple series of springs to suit the racer and performance enthusiast alike. This spring is just one of PSIs 1500-series Max-Life offerings. It is built with all of the same attention to detail as the 1500-series springs are by using advanced heat-treating processes to strengthen the base material to increase fatigue life and offer better resistance to load loss, but with an additional proprietary multi-step enhancements to further the life of the spring. These processes target the endurance applications that these springs were built for like circle track and road racing.
